The conditions we take work on: what it costs, when you pay, what you receive and what happens if something goes wrong. The same wording goes into the contract — here it is simply in plain language and open, before the first call.
An open list of the conditions on which the SKERRY studio (Lviv, Ukraine) builds websites. It does not replace a contract: every project is contracted, and the terms in it are these. The point of this page is that you read them before the conversation rather than after the deposit.
If a clause does not suit you, that is something to discuss, not a reason to walk away. Changed terms are recorded in writing in the contract, and then the contract applies rather than this page.
The price and the timeline are stated as numbers before the work begins and written into the contract. After that they change only together with the scope of work and only in writing. A verbal “just a little more” changes neither the price nor the date.
The full price list is open, together with the table of add-ons: you see what the sum is made of before it is named. There are no hidden lines in the invoice — everything that costs money is listed there.
An audit of an existing site is separate paid work. If you order development afterwards, the audit fee is credited against it.
In two parts: 30% once the site structure is approved, and 70% once you have seen a working preview on a temporary address. You pay nothing for the first conversation or the structure stage.
Until the balance is paid the site lives on a temporary address and does not move to your domain. That is not leverage, it is the ordinary boundary: access is handed over together with settlement.
Domain and hosting are registered in your accounts and paid separately by you, directly to the providers. As a guide, a domain is about $8 a year, and hosting starts around $30 a year if the site needs a server with a database. We record the exact payments before work starts.
The timeline is counted in working days from the later of two moments: the first payment arriving and your materials arriving. The date goes into the contract.
A pause on your side stops the count and restarts it when the answer arrives. Silence longer than ten working days puts the project on hold; resuming after that is agreed separately.
A delay on our side is our problem: overtime is not billed and never appears on the invoice.
A rush timeline is a separate paid option, +30% on the total. The surcharge pays for the queue, not for speed: your project jumps it and everything else moves back. How much shorter the timeline actually becomes we say once we see the scope, and the new date goes into the contract. Stages that depend on you are not sped up.
Copy, photos, a logo and company details before the build starts. If something is missing we put in placeholders and carry on, but the clock stops meanwhile.
We can take the copy and the image selection on ourselves — those are separate lines in the price list, named before the start rather than after.
Access to the domain, the hosting and the email if a site already exists. The most common cause of a missed deadline is a domain sitting on the email of someone who no longer works with you; it is worth checking before the first call.
Two rounds of revisions are included in every package. A round is one collected list of comments, not a stream of messages through the day.
The third and every further round is ₴3,000 from the published price list.
Changing the concept after the design is approved is new work, not a revision. Which is why the design is signed off in writing on the mock-up, before any code: there a rework costs minutes, in a built site it costs days.

For 60 days after handover we fix faults free of charge. A fault is something that worked at handover and stopped working. Anything blocking enquiries is fixed the same day, everything else within three working days.
A new want — one more block, a different structure, rewritten copy — is not a fault but separate work, priced from the list. We name the difference straight away, not after doing it.
What we do not guarantee, and say so before payment: Google rankings or “number one”, the number of enquiries or sales, and the behaviour of third-party services if they change their own rules. A site is a tool, not demand.
Once the balance is paid, the rights to the design and the code are yours. No “usage licences” and no surcharge for the source files.
We keep the right to show the work in a portfolio. If you would rather we did not, we record that in writing and the site stays out of it.
The footer of a finished site carries one small line saying who built it. That is agreed before the start, not slipped in quietly. If you object we remove it free of charge; we do not charge for removing our own credit.
You stop the project: payment for the completed stage is not refunded and the work from that stage is handed to you.
We stop the project: we return the money for the part not done.
Reasons we may leave a project: sustained silence, demands outside the contract without payment, or a request to do something unlawful or misleading.
Form submissions are used only to answer your request and are not passed to third parties. Access credentials are kept in a password manager, handed to you at handover and deleted on our side.
